I have made a chart of Main Character Deaths on Star Trek by Degree of Awesomeness (or Lameness). It is rather silly but here it is anyway (hope I didn't miss too many!)

And I suppose I should note it's only Star Trek that I have watched (so no Voyager or Enterprise here, folks).

I just finished The Spy Who Came In From The Cold by John Le Carre. Great book, perfectly captured the futility and bleakness of living your life for the state. The ending was really the only way it could end, but still shocking and sad. I need to read more by this man, stat.

I don't really know what any of it means, but it's lovely. I think it's about a man who is a nobody and who is afraid, as everyone is, of making any loud noises. But I also think it is a love song, kind of.
